Rainbow flags and glitter will fill the streets as the ever present Mount San Jacinto Mountains star in the most scenic pride parade in the world. The downtown parade steps off at 10am and travels north from W. Ramon Rd. along historic Palm Canyon Drive.
Be a part of the parade and see for yourself who will best incorporate the 2011 Theme “Justice Today. Equality Forever!” in their parade contingent. Who will present the best out-of-town entry? Who will have the most original or outrageous entry? Join your friends and family and have fun selecting the best community organization entry, the best float and the most outrageous and creative marching contingent.

Advice for Spectators
Palm Springs Pride works all year long to bring this event to life and provide the best possible experience to all spectators. Here are a few tips on how to enjoy the parade safely:
o Wear sunscreen! It will be a warm and sunny morning, so bring a tube of sunscreen with you.
o Bring water!
o Have fun! Sing, chant, and clap for and with the participating groups!
o Watch out for (your) kids – Make sure that children are safe and not running around on the street, especially when vehicles are approaching.
o Respect the instructions from the parade staff and volunteers – They are only doing their job and enforcing safety measures for the benefit of everyone.
o Avoid crossing the street when vehicles or animals are approaching – This slows down the Parade and creates unnecessary risks.
o Stay on the sidewalk or behind safety lines and barricades – Advancing into the street when contingents approach slows down the parade and creates unnecessary risks. Maneuvering vehicles require large clearance on the street.
The following rules will be in force during the parade
- The Palm Springs City Ordinance (11.10.040) prohibiting public nudity on public or private property open to view from any public area will be strictly enforced.
- No tossing or throwing of items from parade entries into the crowd, in accordance with Palm Springs City Ordinance.
