Volunteering at Palm Springs Pride

Palm Springs Pride relies on hundreds of volunteers to make our unique festival and parade the success that they are year after year. Volunteering is all about making a difference. Palm Springs Pride is committed to involving volunteers across its operations from events to business support. When you volunteer with Palm Springs Pride, you’ll be making not only a difference for the organization but also the wider community for which we serve.

Easy 3-Step Process!

to enter our online volunteer application and do lots of Volunteer Stuff! You will be connected to our volunteer site at Volunteermatters.

Step 1 – As a new user, click on the "Register Now" button on the right side of the login page.

Step 2 – Enter your email, first, and last names.

Step 3 – Then you will receive login information at the email you provided. With this you can log in, create your profile and view and sign up for volunteer opportunities.

When you sign in to our volunteermatters website (http://www.volunteermatters.com/tsfdogy) click on the program you would like to volunteer for. Programs are listed on the right in the Calendar Box.

• Select from a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for our Calendar of Events (you may need to select the month of November to see the shifts, the calendar defaults to the current month).
• Receive email confirmation for each volunteer shift you have signed up for.
• Add additional shifts or make changes to the shifts you selected anytime (up to 72 hours prior to the event).
• Sign in and manage your volunteer applications and update your details via our volunteer self service page, which can be found here or by selecting Volunteer Self Service login from the Palm Springs Pride volunteer webpage.

About Voluntering

If you have volunteered for Palm Springs Pride before, you’ll notice some changes to the process of applying for your volunteer roles. We’ve implemented a volunteer management system to make volunteer shift selection simple and all within your control.

Here’s how it works:

• Event-Day Roles: You will need to register for each volunteer role that you are interested in through our VolunteerMatters website. You can apply for as many roles as we have vacant positions. Of course, you’ll need to have the time, to do them all.
• Production Team & Other Leadership Roles: Leadership positions are those that have considerable impact on the organization, its people, operations and/or events. You will need to attend an interview or some type of selection process for these roles. You may need to demonstrate your experience and ability to perform the role through qualifications or previous experience.
