Pet Pride Parade

Pet Pride Parade

Gaylord and his sidekick Kitty are the official mascots of the Pet Pride Parade.

Pets of all shapes and sizes are invited to show off their best costumes at the annual Pet Pride Parade and Tail-gating Party that celebrates pets of all kinds.

Everyone is welcome to bring their well-behaved dogs, cats and other animal kingdom friends to this festive procession through the streets of Uptown in Palm Springs, CA. Hundreds of pets (mostly dogs) don their best costumes while many of the two-legged parade revelers are themselves dressed in costumes and walk in the parade. Spectators are encouraged to come with or without their pets just to witness the parade of man’s best friend.

After the 1K stroll in the Parade, participants are invited to the Tailgate party and market at the Desert Regional Medical Center and stick around for the awards ceremony, celebrity appearances, exhibitors and music. Awards will be given for the best costumes for both pets and owners.

It’s a gigantic parade just for pets in which everyone believes their fur baby is the best ever!

In the end, it’s a hilarious and enjoyable way to spend a day that’s gone, gleefully, to the dogs.  The Pet Pride Parade is a fun and relaxing event for family and friends.

Day of Parade

On the day of the Pet Pride Parade, participants will gather in the morning and register their entry and explore the exhibitor’s in the market space.  Around 9am, the official registered entrants and their costumed dogs taking part in the Pet Pride Parade begin the walk from step off and back to the parade’s endpoint at the Tailgate party.  Along the way costumes and fashion will be judged by a panel of jurors as participants pass the red-carpet reviewing stand. Those who are selected as category finalists are invited to the Tailgate party stage where they walk the runway and prizes are awarded.
