Sister Sledge, the legendary disco group, will headline the Palm Springs Pride Festival and perform their iconic hits, which have captivated audiences for decades. The free performance, presented by Visit Lauderdale, is scheduled for the main stage on Palm Canyon Drive on Saturday, November 2, at 8:00 p.m.
With hits including "He's the Greatest Dancer,” “Lost in Music,” and their worldwide anthem and expression of togetherness; "We Are Family,” Sister Sledge featuring Sledgendary® will join the festival lineup with Neon Trees, George Michael Reborn tribute act, Brian Justin Crum, Pretty Poison featuring Jade Starling and more.
The annual Pride celebration promotes unity, diversity, and equality. Ron deHarte, Palm Springs Pride President and CEO said, “Pride in Palm Springs is a celebration where you can be yourself and be true to who you are. The 2024 Pride Week theme is 'Be You,' which embraces the power of self-expression, inclusiveness, and love.” He added, “The theme reinforces the city's reputation of cherishing the value and dignity of all people.”
“Being the Diamond sponsor of Palm Springs Pride and sponsoring the headliner, Sister Sledge, signifies Visit Lauderdale’s strong commitment to supporting the LGBT+ community and promoting inclusivity. As a Diamond sponsor, Visit Lauderdale not only contributes significant financial support but also gains visibility and recognition as a leader in advocacy for inclusion, equality and acceptance”, said Richard Gray, Senior Vice President of Inclusion & Accessibility for Visit Lauderdale.
